Etkin İnsan Gelişim Institute founded in 1999; as well as broughting many firsts in this field since 2007, has been traning a great many yoga instructors in provinces of Turkey.

Alper Bayraktar, the founder and active trainer of the yoga department; was the coordinator of an international yoga school in India and the organizer of yoga instructor training in between 2003-2007.

As of 2007; Yoga Instructor Certificate Program started with the cooperation of Ege University Continuing Education Center is the first and only training of trainers to receive state university approval and academic support. Necessary modifications have been updated in each yoga instructor program and again for the first time in Turkey by the year 2009 300-hour yoga teacher training courses have started.

Etkin İnsan Gelişim Institute; since 2007; in İstanbul, İzmir, Ankara, Antalya, Bursa, Adana, Mersin, Gaziantep, Eskişehir, Konya, Isparta, Samsun, Bodrum, Zanzibar Island and Bali Island has successfully completed more than 80 yoga instructor training and has educated close to two thousand yoga instructors. Some of our students have opened their own yoga centers, while others continue to give private and group lessons in different centers and institutions. Some of our graduates have taken our training for their own health, individual development, private and business life.

As of 2013, instructor of Etkin İnsan Gelişim Institute the one and only Yoga Alliance-approved fully comprehensive Institute in Turkey, Alper Bayraktar has been continuing his training both in our country and abroad.

Etkin İnsan Gelişim Institute, offers 3 different program alternatives for those who want to be a yoga instructor or to adapt yoga to their lives with 200 hours Yoga Alliance-approved Yoga Trainer Course.

  1. Alternative: 18-day retreat camp training
  2. Alternative: 8 days of city education (weekends) + 10-day retreat camp training
  3. Alternative: 18 days of city education (weekends)

Yoga; It is a word derived from the root of “Yuj-c” in Sanskrit language. Yoga which means combining, subduing, has a history of approximately seven thousand years.

 “Yoga Sutra” the first known writing resource for Yoga, written by Maharishi Patanjali about two thousand years ago. Maharishi Patanjali summarizes the definition and purpose of yoga in the second aphorism of the Yoga Sutra book “Yogas chitta vritti nirodhah.” “Yoga is the calming process of thought waves in our minds.” Being able to control the human mind that carries them to different processes in line with their thoughts, perceptions and choices and to directing it towards ideal are among the aims of Yoga.
